I already have my appointment
You have the appointment. Here’s what comes next.
Check it, prepare your papers and arrive on time. Then, the second appointment to collect the card.
Before the day
- Check the appointment on the government website, under “consulta o anulación de citas”, with your details. Keep a screenshot.
- Make sure the address on the confirmation is the office you’ll go to: it can’t be changed on the day.
- Pay fee 790 012 with the box for your procedure, and keep the stamp or the NRC.
- Fill in form EX-17 and sign it by hand. Your name exactly as on your passport and the fee.
- Get three colour photos, white background, 32 × 26 mm.
What to bring
- The appointment confirmation, printed or on your phone.
- Your valid original passport and a copy of the used pages.
- The printed approval decision.
- Fee 790 012, stamped or with NRC.
- The signed EX-17 and the three photos.
- Your previous card, if you have one.
On the day
Arrive about fifteen minutes early; many offices won’t let you in any earlier. Arriving late usually means losing the appointment.
It takes five to fifteen minutes: they take your fingerprints, signature and photo, and give you a receipt. Keep it: you’ll need it to collect the card.
If you can’t go
Cancel on the government website as soon as you can: it frees the slot for someone else. Then message us and we’ll look for another date.
Afterwards: collection
The card takes three to six weeks. Collection is another appointment, with its own calendar. We can find that one too (49 €).
